Committee Structure

The Elected Committee

The structure of the elected committee is shown in the chart opposite, comprising of four formal positions and three member positions. The committee structure is agreed during the Annual General Meeting, scheduled in September. All committee members are actively involved in the running of the subcommittees, organised as a “buddy” system to ensure resilience in maintaining normal running.

The members of the subcommittees can be unelected members of the FOBN; there are a number of key roles in the subcommittees that are currently being recruited for, please contact us if you can help and are interested.

Business Planning

Business Planning

The Business Planning Team (BPT) was the first subcommittee to be set up and has been the primary driver behind development of the committee’s requirements, among those being the development of the Business Plan and the overall strategy development; in particular regarding opening up the FOBN to the community, to push information regarding future FOBN activities and involve the members in progressing towards purchasing the Inn.

Information Services

Information Services

The IS subcommittee concentrates on enabling information delivery and therefore supports all teams in performing where technology can assist. IS are responsible for the day-to-day running of the website, email campaigns and currently publishing any new content on the site for the members’ review. Moderation of any comments also currently is managed by IS members.

Events Management

Events Management

The Events team devise and plan activities for the year ahead, working on delivering community-focused events, organising facilities and other services to ensure their smooth running and enjoyment by all.

Communications & Marketing

Communications & Marketing

A new subcommittee team that the FOBN are actively recruiting for; the requirement is to develop a team of experienced individuals that can provide a community-focused structure and “edge” to all communications and marketing issued by the FOBN teams.

Third Party Services

Third Party Services

In order to carry out the work of the FOBN in regard to the Navi’s future, advice and services need to be acquired and controlled. This team manages all third parties involved with the Business Planning and Navi’s future.
