The second annual ‘NavFest’ charity music event was another huge success due to a fantastic turn out and support by The Navigation locals. Despite the rain earlier in the day; which the Scouts had to battle in order to very kindly put up the events shelters, all the local bands and artists were able to play their sets in the sunshine. The event saw wonderful music from Chris Hanbury and Lee Godsmack, Chris and James Cowley, Isaac Bloomfield, George Ramplin from the Harmonics and Lewis Hall and band. The night was finished off by the fantastic Dixie Jacks who played right through the night moving their gear inside of the pub. All the artists can be found online if anyone would like to contact them.
The event raised £245.52 which was greatly received by Age UK Derby & Derbyshire so that they can continue to carry on doing their amazing work in the local community. The event also raised awareness about the local run events (see more: http://www.ageuk.org.uk/about-us-/local-services-search/local-services/age-uk-derby–derbyshire-england/).
The Navigation would like to thank everyone who helped organise and put together the day. We would also especially like to thank everyone who came out and supported the event whether that be staying all day or just coming to put some money in the pots.
